Larch contains natural constituents that protect the wood against weathers influences, rot and molds. This fact sets Larch apart from other wood types. Larch untreated can be used above ground. You can paint your terrace roof also. Choose for special wood paint and transparent stain that meet these requirements. We advise this treatment for your terrace roof.
• Treat the terrace roof firstly with a suitable base paint / stain for a good protection against rot, mold or insects.
• Use two layers of colored stain or paint with a high UV-protection.
Transparent stain offers - in contrast with colored stain - no protection against UV-radiation. A darker color offers more protection. If you follow our advice, you extend the time between necessary maintenance. If you see that the wood "sweats", repeat then the treatment with stain or paint.
Polycarbonate panel
Clean the Polycarbonate panel two times per year. Do not clean the Polycarbonate panel with abrasives or solvent, but use soap. Do not use high-pressure sprayers.
Aluminum profiles
Aluminum is a complete water-resistant material. Yet, through weathers influences, dirt can become attached. This you can simply remove with a cloth or soft brush and some water.
